Temperance Trader Barrel Strength Bourbon Whiskey

Temperance Trader Barrel Strength Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a sourced bourbon composed of a mashbill of 65% corn, 25% rye and 10% malted barley. After the bourbon is aged for a minimum of four years (although a number of barrels are aged as long as five years) in 53-gallon, charred American oak barrels. After selecting a handful of barrels, the casks are married together and bottled at cask strength.

Nose: Aromas of vanilla, smoke, spices, and roasted corn.

Palate: Honeyed oak and cinnamon.

Finish: Slightly sweet, with hints of oak, dried fruits and chocolate.

Distillery Information

Bull Run Distilling was founded in 2010 by Lee Medoff and Patrick Bernards. The name is a reference to the Cascade Mountains where pioneer cattle broke free in the 1800s and for a time grazed and drank in a place that came to be known as Bull Run. They're founded on the principle that the sourcing ingredients have a great deal to do with the essence of the spirit, taking particular care with their distillate.
