Detailed Description
Detailed Description
Vago El Manantial EspadĂn is an artisanal Mezcal produced from EspadĂn agave, one of the most widely used varieties in traditional Oaxacan mezcal production. The agave is traditionally cooked in an underground earthen oven, imparting the spirit with its characteristic earthy and smoky character. The expression balances roasted agave sweetness with smoke, citrus, herbs and mineral notes, while its high proof provides a rich and concentrated texture. It is an expressive example of small-production Oaxacan mezcal.

Distillery Information
Mezcal Vago was founded with a focus on showcasing traditional, small-scale mezcal production from Oaxaca and other historic mezcal regions of Mexico. The brand works closely with individual mezcaleros, allowing each expression to reflect the producer, agave and local production methods. Traditional techniques such as underground roasting, tahona milling and copper or clay-pot distillation are used depending on the mezcalero. The Vago range is known for identifying the individual producer behind each bottling, giving enthusiasts greater insight into the origin and craftsmanship of the spirit. This producer-focused approach has helped Mezcal Vago become respected among enthusiasts seeking authentic, character-driven artisanal mezcal.
