Producer Information
Château La Tour de By is a Bordeaux wine estate in the left-bank Médoc appellation. It makes Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant reds blended with Merlot and Petit Verdot. The estate's history dates back to the 18th Century when it was first known as La Roque de By. The château itself was built in 1876. La Tour de By takes its modern name from a prominent stone tower on the property and its location in the de By region of the Médoc. The property covers 94 hectares (232 acres) with roughly 74 hectares (183 acres) under vine. The vineyard is given to 60 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 35 percent Merlot and 5 percent Petit Verdot: proportions reflected in the blend of the grand vin.
