      Farnese Vini is an Italian wine group and one of the leading export companies in southern Italy. The group has a production of nearly 13 million bottles a year, and has commercial outlets in 74 countries. Farnese Vini's portfolio includes seven wineries spread across Puglia, Campania, Basilicata, Abruzzo and Sicily. The group has two wineries on the island of Sicily: Cantine Cellaro and Vignetti Zabù. Both are located in Sambuca di Sicilia and produce Sicilia IGT red and white wines from native and international varieties including Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, Grillo, Zibibbo, Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascalese. In Abruzzo, Farnese Vini owns three wineries: Caldora, Gran Sasso and Fantini Farnese. Production includes Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Terre di Chiete IGT wines. In Puglia, Cantina Sava, Luccarelli and Vigneti del Salento produces red, white, and rosé wines from a range of designations including Salice Salento DOC, Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale DOCG, Primitivo di Manduria DOC and Puglia IGP. In 2020, Farnese Vini was purchased by the Californian private equity firm Platinum Equity.
