Producer Information
We at Statti are convinced that great wine is born first of all in the vineyard. It is the commitment in the vineyard, in the care and attention to the breeding and harvest choices that lay the foundations for obtaining great wines. For this reason, in the last 15 years we have worked hard in the vineyard and in the cellar, with large investments, in plants and men, which have transformed the appearance of our company. The vineyards cover an area of 100 hectares, close to the hill which protects it from the winds coming from the sea. The plants are espaliered and the training technique is the classic spurred cordon. The sixths are such as to allow the mechanization of almost all the processes and the vineyard is fertilized, in part, with the manure coming from the breeding. The grape yields per hectare are deliberately low, also thanks to the use of green pruning. The harvest takes place from the end of August/first ten days of September until late October, starting with the international white and red grapes and concluding with the native vines.
