Horsepower Vineyards, founded in 2011 by Christophe Baron in Washington's Walla Walla Valley, is a premier producer known for using draft horses for all vineyard cultivation. Specializing in biodynamic Syrah and Grenache on rocky soils, the estate emphasizes high-density, trellising-free planting ("sur échalas") to produce intensely savory and earthy wines.
