Aged for 11 months in hand-charred, 180 liter Kentucky bourbon American White Oak barrels. Medium body with a golden wheat hue and smooth, silky texture. Perfectly combines traditional reposado smoke with modern spice. Aged one month more it would be classified as an Añejo.

Arta Tequila prides itself on on being both "steeped in tradition and rooted in rebellion." The distillery, overseen by Master Distiller Angel Gonzalez, uses traditional practices with no pesticides and sustainable farming, recycling the unused bits of agave into compost or made into bricks for construction. The "rebellion" here comes with a whopping 11 months of aging (usually reposado averages about 4 - 6) in ex-Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. The bottles are handmade with a Dios de Muertos skull design etched in the glass.
Arta Reposado Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: For such a mature reposado, the flavors of the agave still shine. It's soft and fruity, with stewed agave, grapefruit, and peach.
Palate: Sweeter flavors of malty cocoa (like Ovaltine), vanilla, burnt caramel, and roasted pumpkin-seed emerge on the mid palate.
Finish: The finish is dry and peppery with a puff of smoke.
