A peated BenRiach, distilled in 1976, aged for 39 years and finished in a hogshead that previously held Tawny Port! Single cask #5462, released as part of the 13th Batch of single casks from BenRiach distillery - 291 bottles filled at cask strength, 53.8%.

Nose: Rich blackcurrant cordial combines with dark orange marmalade and gentle waves of burning heather smoke.
Palate: A silky, sweet peat smoke infused through dark fruits and mixed peel. Delicate tropical notes appear in the palate, followed by a more intense ashy wood smoke.
Finish: A crisp, floral oak finish.
Distillery Information
The BenRiach distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the Speyside area of Scotland. It is currently owned by Brown-Forman Corporation after being purchased on 1 June 2016 as a subsidiary from the BenRiach Distillery Company Limited, formed by two South African funding partners, Geoff Bell and Wayne Keiswetter, and Scotch whisky expert Billy Walker.
