In addition to salty almonds and hazelnuts, there is also some sourdough in the bouquet. Dried fruits on the palate create a highly interesting field of tension with the iodine notes. In the finale it's downright flattering, herbal notes come forward and stay for a long time.

Producer Information

Bodega Fernando de Castilla is an award-winning Sherry producer located in Jerez de la Frontera. It is named after the king, also known as "El Santo" who conquered a large part of Andalucia in the 13th century. Fernando is also credited with the identification of the soils in the Jerez region as having excellent potential for winegrowing. There are three ranges; Classic, Antique and the super-premium Singular. The Oloroso Singular won the Fortified Wine Trophy at the 2023 edition of the International Wine Challenge. A number of Brandy de jerez expressions are also produced, as well as a duo of red and white vermuts (vermouths) and vinegars.
