A sweet and fruity single malt from Braes of Glenlivet, matured for a quarter of a century in a single first fill barrel before being bottled in June 2019 as part of the Secret Speyside collection. Aromas of marmalade and ripe melon fill the nose, complemented by notes of creamy fudge, sweet coconut and juicy peaches on the palate. Secret Speyside is a collection curated to showcase the lesser-known side of Speyside Scotch whisky – well-aged drams from distilleries which have, through choice or under-appreciation, continued to fly under the radar for so many years.

Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.

Distillery Information

Braeval distillery is a distiller of Scotch whisky in Chapeltown, Banffshire, Scotland. Founded in 1973 as Braes of Glenlivet, the distillery is owned by Chivas Brothers. The name was changed to avoid confusion with an unrelated single malt.
