Glencadam 25 Year Old The Remarkable 2016 Release Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Lying on the more premium end of their catalog is the Glencadam 25 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a well-aged, well-crafted offering that boasts a complex combination of fruity sweetness and pleasing spices with every drop. Made from 100% malted Scottish barley, the Scotch starts its life with the malt being fermented and then twice-distilled using traditional copper pot stills with the resulting spirit then being left to mature exclusively in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. After a quarter of a century of aging, the finished whisky is then cut with the addition of pure water from Loch Lee before being finally bottled.

Nose: Light golden-bronze in color, each sip of this Scotch yields an inviting nose of red berries, citrus, malt, crushed nuts, resin, leather, and floral notes.

Palate: A smooth and slightly sweet palate of starfruit, more red berries and citrus, nuts, black pepper, and hints of ginger heart.

Finish: A soothing finish of honeyed oak and warming spices.

The Glencadam distillery is a distillery in Brechin, Angus, Scotland that produces single malt Scotch whisky. The distillery is owned by Angus Dundee plc and produces one malt whisky, with the remainder of production sold to blenders or used within Angus Dundee plc for use in blended whisky brands.
