Detailed Description

Celebrating 60 years of marriage between the cognac and the oak, the Prestige collection carries with it the emotion of passing time. Very large cognac whose complexity is characterized by rancio charentais (slow maturation of tannins). In the mouth, orange notes and hints of ginger dominate without excess bitterness. Its length takes us on a hot and powerful way of spice where the aromas of saffron and old leather mingle. The pleasure is velvet.

Hardy Noces Diamant 60 Year Old Cognac Tasting Notes

Nose: Charentais rancio, due to the slow ageing of the tannins from the oak barrel. Warm notes of cinnamon and prune.

Palate: Apricot, almond with bitter spicy orange notes that dominate without excess, and a hint of ginger. A lengthy finish; the sign of an excellent Premier Cru blend.

Finish: The finish takes us on a powerful spice journey with notes of old leather and saffron. A velvety texture.

Hardy Noces Diamant 60 Year Old Cognac Tasting Notes

Nose: Opening bouquet is compelling as biscuity, spicy, botanical waves of black pepper, milk chocolate and oaky vanilla vie for dominance; bouquet turns fruity, ripe, mildly spirity and leathery later on.

Palate: Palate entry is firmly structured, candied, grapy and appropriately woody-resiny; midpalate is rich, grapy, honeyed, marzipan-like and nougaty.

Finish: Aftertaste is ripely sweet.

Distillery Information

Maison Hardy owes its name to an authentic English gentleman, Anthony Hardy. Like any conscientious wine and spirit merchant, Hardy liked to get out of London as often as he could and head down to Charente to check on the progress of the finest Cognac crus. He finally succumbed to the region’s charms in 1863, relocating permanently and founding Maison Hardy. As a mark of his great affection for France and the French, he went so far as to adopt the Gallic form of his Christian name, henceforth being known as Antoine Hardy. He also adopted the iconic French cockerel as the emblem of his new company.
