Distillery Information

Established in 1887 by Austro-Hungarian immigrant Jacob Rieger, J. Rieger & Co. grew to be the largest mail-order whiskey purveyor in the world. The distillery was shut down by Prohibition, only to be reborn in 2014 when our co-founders, including the great-great-great-grandson of Jacob Rieger, resurrected the brand.
