With a rich history dating back to 1814, Loch Lomond Distillery is one of the most well-known producers of single malt whisky in the Scottish Highlands region. This taster pack includes 3 x 5cl bottles of the Loch Lomond Original (46%), 12 Year Old (46%) and 18 Year Old (43%). The perfect gift for any whisky-lover, whether a newbie taster or experienced connoisseur – if you’re not tempted to keep it for yourself, that is!
Loch Lomond Gift Pack Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Caramel, oily walnut, a touch of dusty oak smokiness.
Palate: Digestive biscuits and ginger snaps. Subtle vegetal notes develop later on.
Finish: Diced almond, coffee bean, toasted malt.
Distillery Information
Loch Lomond Distillery was commissioned by the Littlemill Distilling Company in 1964 with first distillation in 1966. In 1984, the distillery closed - or fell silent, to use the traditional term. Happily though, Alexander Bulloch and the Glen Catrine company acquired the business and resumed malt production in 1987. Grain whisky production began in 1993 and two new malt stills were added in 1999.
