Founded by Leonard Firestone and Troy Robertson, Firestone and Robertson Distilling Company is located in a renovated prohibition-era warehouse in Fort Worth, Texas. TX Straight Bourbon Whiskey is made with Texas yellow dent corn, red winter wheat, malt, and yeast from a Texas pecan. This wheated bourbon is aged for four years in charred oak barrels and bottled at 47% ABV.
TX Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Caramel and sharp heat strike the nose initially, with strong vanilla plus distinct malt and nuttiness. Aromas expand to dry grass, toasted grains and hot earth like a summer-scorched field.
Palate: The palate is corn-forward, also sharp and pleasantly oily and matches the nose with added stone fruit.
Finish: The finish is malty and grainy.

Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Firestone & Robertson Distilling Co. ("F&R") is a leading artisan whiskey distillery. The company was founded in 2010 by Leonard Firestone and Troy Robertson who had a vision to create classic whiskey expressions with a distinct Texas provenance. F&R owns and operates two fully functioning distilleries, 901 W. Vickery and Whiskey Ranch (the largest Whiskey Distillery west of the Mississippi), in Fort Worth, Texas.
