      Detailed Description

The variety is the superstar grape variety behind the top-quality red wines across northwestern Italy, and in particular, the heady, powerful reds of Barolo and Barbaresco.

      Producer Information

Cantine Manfredi dates back to Nicolao Manfredi, who founded the wine trading company at the beginning of the 20th century. His son Giuseppe then began to expand the radius and at the end of the 1930s still supplied the adjacent valleys by horse cart. In the 60s, the current owner Aldo joined the company. In the 80's they finally managed to place their wines also on the foreign market. The next generation is already in the starting blocks with daughters Luisa and Paola.Manfredi's vineyards are located in the Langhe region in the northwest corner of Italy. The estate itself stands high on a hill with a wonderful panorama of the surrounding area. Photovoltaic panels ensure an environmentally friendly supply of electricity to the estate, and cultivation still takes place in a very pristine way so as not to overly impact nature. Cantine Manfredi sells its wines under its own name, as well as the Castelvecchio, Azienda Vinicola Patrizi and Umberto Fiore brands.
