Detailed Description
Part of the second wave of whiskies from independent bottler Whisky Works, this Speyside single malt was distilled at a lost distillery in Carron and matured in American oak for two decades before it was finished for seven months in 20-year-old Cognac casks from the Bourgin Estate in southwest France. Bottled in 2019, this is a sweet, floral whisky, with aromas of citrus, violets and sweet, grassy herbal notes on the nose. The palate offers notes of creamy milk chocolate, golden syrup, ginger and strawberries & cream.

Nose: Very clean and appetising, with a gentle floral character.
Palate: Candied flowers lead, with Glacier Mints, sherbet lemons and sharp apples to follow. Gently spicy oak, ginger and a touch of polished wood develop. Hob-nob oats and sweet butter biscuits develop, balanced by sweet royal icing and touch of sour apple.
Finish: Long lasting smokiness.
