      Detailed Description

Beautifully textured and lacy, with nuances of orange, apricot, honey and buttery pastry. Elegant yet concentrated, with a grapefruit peel lift on the finish. Harmonious and approachable, yet should age well.

        Reviews:

        • Wine Advocate: The 2005 Pinot Gris Clos Windsbuhl Vendange Tardive displays a similarly honeyed purity to the Clos Jebsal, but with even more refinement and clarity. Apricot and yellow plum preserves, litchi, musk, and chalk mingle in the nose and mouth, and a persistent juiciness runs throughout, balancing 91 grams of residual sugar it is hard to believe are there. Bittersweet suggestions of licorice, citrus oils, and vanilla add to the fascination of honeyed richness and undeniable chalkiness. This long-finishing wine has the potential to be among the vintage’s longest keepers as well.
        • Wine Spectator: Beautifully textured and lacy, with nuances of orange, apricot, honey and buttery pastry. Elegant yet concentrated, with a grapefruit peel lift on the finish. Harmonious and approachable, yet should age well.
