      Producer Information

Neudorf Vineyards is a well-known producer, located in the Nelson wine region of New Zealand. In the late 1970s, founders Judy and Tim Finn experimented with what was then unknown wine territory. They established the now-thriving winery that is famous for varietal Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling.Once established, the Finns further explored the viticultural potential of the region and planted Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc and Müller-Thurgau. Despite Nelson's annual 2300 hours of sunlight, the strong diurnal shift and maritime climate did not allow these varieties to ripen fully. The Finns settled on cool-climate varieties including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Gris to be grown on the estate which feature in the Home Block collection of the wine portfolio.Other collections are named after the vineyard from which they are sourced, including a single vineyard offering of Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. In the winery, a minimal intervention approach is taken to aid the preservantion of phenolics and to also ensure that the terroir is illustrated in the bottled wine.
