Balcones Texas Rum | 700ML

A rum produced by the Texas whiskey distillery Balcones, but once a year it stops producing whisky to distill rum from molasses. Once fermented, it undergoes traditional double distillation in hand-made copper pot stills.

Nose: Very elegant and precise aromas.

Palate: Clove, pecans, crème brûlée, coffee, and dried fruit.

Finish: Peppery warmth on the finish.

Distillery Information

It all started in an old welding shop under a bridge in Waco. For the next year, we replaced the roofing, knocked out walls, laid brick, cut pipes, installed copper pot stills from Portugal, and shoehorned a whisky distillery inside that quaint building.
