      Detailed Description

Fresh, slightly aromatic and fruity and great for a long aperitif and with light meals or a night on the town.

        Producer Information

Cielo e Terra, also known as Gruppo Cantine Colli Berici, is an Italian wine producer based in the Colli Berici DOC region near Verona. It markets wines from various north eastern DOCs and IGTs, and from Puglia in the south of the country. The winery is in partnership with over 2,000 wine growers. The group collectively farms over 4,000 hectares (9,900 acres) of vineyards. Many different indigenous and international grape varieties feature. Various sub brands are used. Wines from the home territory of Colli Berici are sold under the Casa Defrà label. The Centenero designation is used for Valpolicella Ripasso and Amarone. The Baccolo range is a Rosso and a Bianco Veneto combining local and international grape varieties. Prosecco, delle Venezie DOC and Trevenezie IGT wines are sold under the Famiglia Cielo banner. Puglian wines are sold under the Primasole, Viamare, Terre Allegre and Maestro Italiano brands. Ekuò is the company's organic line. Freschello wines are everyday Vini d'Italia. The business was founded in 1908 by the Cielo family, who came from a strong viticultural background, and it has remained in the family ever since. The 1960s saw the business explore new markets and expand with a new winery. Catering to new markets, however, involved increasing production and the winery began to buy bulk wine from other regions to bottle and release.
