Eifel German Rye Edition 2021 Whisky

Distillation was done in the German tradition: a primary distillation in a column still (including the grist), followed by a second distillation in a small copper pot still. The alcohol content was reduced to 60% before entering casks. The spirit is first aged for at least 2 years in ex-Bordeaux casks and then another 2+ years in 2nd fill Malaga casks and 1st fill German Pinot Noir casks. The whisky is a minimum of 5 years old.

Eifel German Rye Edition 2021 Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: A nose of spices, dill, dry leaves, dark toffee, and cinnamon bark

Palate: Hint of red apple, initial burst of caramel, rye spices, black pepper, clove, dry oak, cinnamon, and leather notes.

Finish: Finish is very smooth.
