Bob Dylan | Heaven's Door Double Barrel Whiskey

Heaven's Door is a whiskey brand developed in collaboration with Bob Dylan. The bottles feature iron gates created by Dylan in his studio, Black Buffalo Ironworks, which were made from found objects from across America including “everything from farm equipment, children’s toys, kitchen utensils and antique firearms to chains, cogs, axes and wheels.” As for the whiskey, it is made from three different whiskeys and finished in toasted, new American oak for an additional year. Bottled at 100 proof.

Nose: Chocolate covered raspberries on the nose, with spicy oak, and doughy cinnamon buns topped with glazed brown sugar.

Palate: Vanilla and dark red fruits on the palate, with plums and berries, alongside par-baked dough, mint, and in the background, flashes of white pepper and licorice.

Finish: A moderately lengthy finish showcases lasting spice, oak, caramel, peppermint, and cinnamon.

Distillery Information

Headquartered in Atchison, Kansas, MGP began in 1941 as a small distillery operation in the heart of America’s grain belt. Founder Cloud L. Cray, Sr., felt the Company’s location and existing infrastructure were an ideal base from which to grow a successful business that would serve the needs of its customers.
