On the marketing website, Chavez likens his 6-time world champion boxing career to the maturation time of the Blue Weber Agave (the plant often taking 7 to 9 years to come to full maturity). It is his name which drives the tequila brand and the company behind it.

Julio Cesar Chavez Blanco Tequila Tasting Notes

Nose: The aroma contained slight bell pepper and earthy agave. Floral and citrus aromas also play a big role in this blanco tequila.

Palate: Tasting neat, this unaged spirit had a mild pepper spiciness and slight roasted agave.

Finish: The tequila finishes dry with hints of sweetness in the background.
