Released to celebrate the opening of the new £140 million Macallan distillery, The Macallan Masters of Photography 7 "The Magnum Edition" Scotch Whisky serves as the most recent entry into the series and was made in partnership with international photographic cooperative Magnum Photos. A marriage of eight different casks including a spicy cask, a classic cask, a European red wine cask, a first-fill American barrel, and a cask of age. The whisky is packaged in a gorgeous red box alongside a collection of images taken by world-class Magnum documentary photographers Steve McCurry, Martin Parr, Paolo Pellegrin, Mark Power, Gueorgui Pinkhassov, and Alec Soth which showcase the various aspects of the new multi-million-pound distillery. In addition to their works, the photographers’ names are also engraved onto each bottle further increasing their collectability.

The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd , is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
