Every year, Pinhook releases a new bourbon and rye, each of which is connected to a promising young thoroughbred horse. The whiskey in each release is the best expression of their barrels at that moment in time, and they blend and proof each release to be as unique as the horse on the label. Bourbon Country is the 8th release of bourbon from Pinhook. It’s been aged more than 3 years at Castle and Key Distillery in Millville, KY and was blended and proofed by Marianne Barnes and Sean Josephs.
Distillery Information
In 1887, legendary distiller Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr built a new kind of distillery destination in Millville, Kentucky. The groundbreaking site featured unique architectural elements including a castle, a classical springhouse, and sunken gardens. What he built became the birthplace of bourbon tourism.
