Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum is introducing Sammy’s Lost Cask 10-year Aged Rum. Only 500 bottles will be released, including 75 bottles autographed by founder Sammy Hagar. Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum’s original rum was placed into oak casks for aging in Maui, a few thousand feet above sea level.
Sammy's Lost Cask 10 Year Old Rum Tasting Notes
Nose: The aroma is smooth, delicate and rich in island fruits with swirling notes of crème brûlée, pineapple, guava, bananas, coconut pulp, plumeria flower.
Palate: On the palate the natural mid-dark amber color delivers a sweetness from the pure Hawaiian sugar cane.
Finish: Warmth and a wood barrel presence lead to a complex finish.
Distillery Information
Sammy's nickname for this specific batch was “Rested in Paradise” (RIP). Years later, our production was relocated to Puerto Rico and those Hawaiian rum-filled casks were lost - a decade later they were rediscovered.
