Released in 2024, the Kogei Collection from Suntory is a testament to the concept of ‘kogei’, meaning ‘traditional Japanese craft’. The product of Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo’s creative craftsmanship, this Single Malt from the Yamazaki distillery use peated malt and maturation in Spanish oak casks.

Nose: Creamy mouth feel with dark mocha, raisins and almonds.

Palate: Velvety with a deep smokiness, smooth and rich with roasted cacao.

Finish: Profound long finish with bittersweet caramelized baking spices.

Born in 1984, Suntory Single Malt Whisky Yamazaki® was the next step for Japanese whisky. Inspired by traditional Scottish whisky, Torii envisioned a Japanese approach by choosing a terrain and climate completely different to those of Scotland to create a unique kind of whisky.
