Beautiful garnet color. Complex aromas of black cherry, clove, hints of graphite and coffee enveloped in a fumy blanket of barrel vanillin. The mouthfeel of this wine is youthful and finely structured. The palate is massive and brooding with purity of black fruits, blueberry, camphor, spices, and tart, chewy currants. The entry is serious and then mouth-filling, finishing for over a minute and dancing every second through the palate!

Producer Information

PROMISE Wine is a boutique producer, founded in 2004 by proprietor Stephen McPherson. The name “Promise” and the label are directly tied to one another. This wine is a tribute to his wife and the promise she made Stephen keep to eventually pursue his interest in making wine. Over lunch with the label designer of the Fiji Water brand – Stephen discussed the need to create a label for PROMISE Wines. Surprisingly merely a few hours later that day the designer sent Stephen a rendition of an elegant design which ultimately became the final label for the Promise Wines. PROMISE is about remembering the simplest things in life are the only ones that matters: sharing moments with the ones you love and who love you- with a great bottle of wine of course!
