      Detailed Description

On the nose, black cherries, strawberries, and raspberries create a rich perfume that's enlivened by notes of violets and baking spices.

        Reviews:

        • Wine Advocate: The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon (14.3% alcohol) a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon 8% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot and Merlot. The wine seems to lack that extra spark and wow factor that one expects from such a great terroir, but shows good firmness, ripeness and richness, a dark ruby/purple color, excellent texture and purity.
        • James Suckling: Aromas of blueberries, blackberries and minerals. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a fresh and clean finish. Linear and crisp. Drink or hold.

        Producer Information

In 1879, Finnish explorer and adventurer Gustave Niebaum searched the Napa Valley with the goal of establishing a wine estate to rival the finest chateau of France. For decades his wines won acclaim and remain some of the most admired in American wine history's classic period. By the mid-1960's, his property was divided, and estate-wine production ceased.
A decade later, Francis Ford Coppola purchased 1,500 acres of this historic property and revived Captain Niebaum's fine winemaking tradition. In 1995, Niebaum-Coppola acquired the remainder of the property and restored the Inglenook Estate to its original dimensions.
