White Wine: 2015 | Domaine Faiveley | Corton Charlemagne 15L
The nose reveals oaky, fruity and floral notes. Concentrated and well-balanced on the palate with excellent aromatic persistency. The rich aromas make this Grand Cru enjoyable in its youth although it only develops its full character after a few years of bottle age. An exceptional wine with depth and minerality.

Reviews:
- Allen Meadows: Notes of green apple, citrus zest, mineral reduction and soft floral nuances introduce powerful and punchy broad-shouldered flavors that possess a textured mouth feel before culminating in an almost painfully intense finish that goes on and on.
- Vinous: Pale, bright yellow. Pungent scents of crushed citrus peel, ginger and metallic minerality; higher-pitched and spicier than the Bâtard. At once ripe, smooth and sweet, offering a compelling combination of pliant texture, sweet stone fruit flavors and tactile stony minerality. The richness and fruit depth of the vintage come through loud and clear but this wine has perfect balancing minerality and ripe harmonious acidity for its sexy sweetness. Finishes very smooth and very long.
Producer Information
In 1825, Pierre Faiveley founded the firm that now bears the name Domaine Faiveley. At that time, the firm was a classic négociant, buying and selling wine. From generation to generation, with a strong commitment to the quality of Burgundy’s patrimony, the Faiveley family has purchased vineyards and is among the largest owners of classified vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Their holdings total 331 acres, of which, 30 acres are grands crus and 67 acres are premiers crus. The objective of the family today, led by Erwan Faiveley, is to increase the firm’s holdings of great vineyards so that there can be complete control from vine to bottle across the entire range of wines. Along with this focus, Erwan Faiveley has renovated the Domaines cellars—in both Nuits-Saints-George and Mercurey—which now boast state of the art barrel presses, custom-designed wooden vats, and among the finest air-cured oak casks available in the world.
