The colour is deep purple, but bright and vivid, not dense and not totally opaque. The nose is fragrantly rich with sugar plums, fresh plums, sweet spice, earth and chocolate, while the palate is a joyful mix of rich plums and cherries, cherry stones, clove, anis and spicy oak.

• Wine Advocate: The elegance, finesse and nuance of the 2015 La Dama is simply irresistible. It's ethereal, perfumed, elegant and complex (rose petals, orange peel, wild herbs...), even if it's extremely young. It's bright ruby, with great purity and detail, transparent and full of energy. It is harmonious and nicely textured, with chalky tannins and a stony sensation. It's more powerful than it feels and has the stuffing and balance to develop nicely in bottle. This is truly sensational, full of mineral energy.

Domaines Lupier is run by Enrique Bastarte and Elisa Ucar who have a great passion for vines, soil and wine. For those indescribable bottles that are a joy to the senses and constitute one of the great pleasures of wine. Enrique is passionate about viticulture! Time flies for him when he’s studying soils, clones, climates and how varieties adapt to each terroir. With over fifteen years experience in vineyards all over Spain and an academic background in agronomical engineering and oenologist studies, Enrique decided, with Elisa, to start Domaines Lupier using one of the grapes they are both in love with: Garnacha. Elisa holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration and an MBA from the IESE Business School, and has more than 12 years experience in the wine sector. Four years ago they started rescuing small parcels of very old Grenache for Domaines Lupier and now they have 27 different parcels with vines going back to over 100 years. At 400 to 750 meters above sea level, the climate is relatively cool and the various soils and exposures give grapes that offer a wide flavor spectrum for the production of these two, simply stunning wines.
