2017 | Ramonet | Chassagne-Montrachet "Boudriotte" Premier Cru Rouge

The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Boudriotte is, as usual, the most fragrant and expressive of Ramonet's premiers crus, bursting from the glass with scents of clear honey, white flowers, fresh peach and pear. On the palate, its medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant, with an expressive core of fruit, succulent acids and a long, perfumed finish. This is a beautifully balanced, charming Boudriotte that will drink well young but also reward bottle age.

• Wine Advocate: Ramonet's finest red this year is the 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Boudriotte, a lovely bottling that bursts with scents of wild berries, orange rind, sweet soil tones and dried flowers. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, layered and succulent, with powdery tannins, good depth of fruit and a fragrant finish.

The renowned Domaine Ramonet was founded in the late 1920s by Pierre Ramonet (also known as Père Ramonet.) In the 1930s, Pierre Ramonet started purchasing vineyards in the Montrachet hill in Côte de Beaune, Burgundy.Domaine Ramonet is among the best wine producers in Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. This world-class winery owns some of the region’s finest Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards.
It makes exceptional white and red wines that boast racy acidity and citrus fruit notes.
