      Detailed Description

Impressive and charming nose with balanced and rich flavors. Great elegance and length on the finish.

        Producer Information

The company Les fils de René Favre SA is a family business established in the heart of Valais. It is located in the town of Chamoson. Winery owners for three generations, we cultivate an area of 8 hectares of vines for a production of around 50,000 bottles per year. All our plots are located in the commune of Chamoson. The cellar, after many years of hard work defending and illustrating the noble grape varieties of Pinot Noir and Petite Arvine, has gradually acquired a reputation for excellence well beyond the borders of Valais. Gradually, the name of René Favre et Fils, under pressure from the media and customers in the “Horeca” sector, disappeared in favor of John and Mike Favre. As far back as human memory can go, the Favre family has always cultivated its vines on property, like most Valais families. But it all started with René Favre who attended the School of Agriculture in 1946, the sector was finally becoming professional. At home, the last cows disappeared in 1962, during the Golden apple revolution. Since then, the vineyards have been considerably expanded and the orchards have grown in importance. Then, with the arrival of the next generation, Jean-Charles (known as John) followed his father's path by attending the Châteauneuf Agricultural School before becoming part of the new wave of people trained in oenology and viticulture at the Changins Higher School. After a stint at Collège de Sion, Mike returned to the land by attending the Haute école de viticulture et enologie de Changins. Today, after completing his diploma at the Changins engineering school like his father, Jonathan (also known as Duke), represents the third generation and is involved in the management of the family estate.
