Arran 9 Year Old Small Batch Rum Cask Finish Scotch Whisky | 700ML

The Arran distillery is located on the island of the same name. It is currently the only distillery on Arran. It has only been bottled and sold worldwide since 2001. Although Arran is a very young distillery , there are already many bottlings in the program. As part of the distillery's Finish Series, this single malt is given a finish in ex-rum casks after aging. The casks for finishing are specially selected by the Master Distiller from a talented small producer to ensure that the rum and whiskey notes combine well and harmonize perfectly with the character of the Arran Single Malt. It is not chill-filtered and without artificial coloring. A rum sweetness is added to this single malt whiskey through the post-aging process, adding an interesting component to the distillery character. The Arran 09 Years Rum Cask Finish is a limited edition as a small batch with a bottling of 1098 bottles. It was bottled for Le Comptoir Irlandais and aged for nine years: 5 years in bourbon casks and 4 years in rum casks, The whiskey therefore has a sweet note with hints of fruitiness and spice from the influence of the rum cask. The 50% bottling is also good for diluting the whiskey with a small sip of water. A top whiskey in premium drinking strength.
