Basque Moonshiners & Co. Bikkun Vatted Malt Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Iodine, light smoke and a slight sweetness. Very pleasant nose that takes some time.
Palate: Malty sweetness, peat smoke that is very well integrated and reminiscent of a campfire. Some pepper and licorice.
Finish: Medium to long. The campfire smoke remains and a pleasant sweet note.
Distillery Information
Antonello Favro was an Italian soldier who arrived in Fontecha (Basque Country in Northern Spain) in 1936 to fight during the Spanish Civil War. Antonello taught our grandfather, Tomás Ortíz de Zárate how to produce vodka. He was the first Basque Moonshiner.
