Bathtub Gin - Persian Lime & Orange Blossom | 700ML

A zealously zesty, vibrantly floral offering from Bathtub Gin. This edition sees the delicious cold-compounded spirit infused with the elegant flavours of Persian lime and orange blossom. This dry and unsweetened expression is awesomely aromatic, with an abundance of zesty lime peel and citrus oil bolstering the bold juniper and gentle spices at its core. Works a treat in a G&T, and shines mixed with bitter lemon.

Bathtub Gin - Persian Lime & Orange Blossom | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Massively fragrant with piles of piney, resinous juniper berries doused in floral citrus oils. A smidge of green Fruit Pastille and dried lime peels come through in time.

Palate: All the character of the classic Bathtub, bolstered by heady citrus blossom and zingy peels. Notes reminiscent of a zesty, floral Earl Grey tea, delicately herbaceous, with lime boiled sweeties in tow.

Finish: Elegant spices finish things off with cardamom and clove, perfumed notes of baklava, lingering essential oils, and fragrant, dried pithy peels.

Distillery Information

Ableforth’s is best known for the multi-award-winning Bathtub Gin and Rumbullion! spiced rum. Since launching in 2011, the range has grown significantly, using time-honoured techniques such as cold compounding as well as cold distillation for their 91.2% abv absinthe, Summer Fruit Cup and Christmas Mulled Cup! Bathtub Gin is now available in Cask-Aged, Navy-Strength, Sloe and Old Tom variants, whilst the regular edition is also available in Magnum (1.5 litre) and Methuselah (6 litre) sizes. Bathtub has received Gold Outstanding and Master awards from the International Spirit & Competition and The Gin Masters respectively as well as Best Compound Gin at the World Gin Awards 3 years running (2014, 2015 & 2016) and 2 International Spirits Challenge Trophies! Likewise, Rumbullion! is now available in Navy-Strength as well as XO 15 Years Old variants whilst the regular edition is also available in a Magnum (1.5 litre) bottle. The cockle-warming spiced rum picked up the award for the Best Spiced Rum at the World Rum Awards 2015. The rest of the range is made up of the aforementioned Summer Fruit Cup, Christmas Mulled Cup as well as a superbly thick and unctuous Cherry Brandy.
