Guillon-Painturaud Hors d'Age Grande Champagne Cognac

Aged around 30 years in oak before bottling, this Hors d'Age from Guillon Painturaud retains the house style of medium-weighted spirits still very vibrantly fruity even at this great age. This style of Cognac will appeal to fans of Remy Martin rather than some of the more weighty big-hitters like Hennessy.

Nose: aroma of grilled mushrooms, raisins, almonds and fresh figs.

Palate: Hints of ripe fruits (particularly plums and peaches), prunes and vanilla. Oaky.

Finish: Sweet finish.

Distillery Information

Guillon-Painturaud was established in 1610 and is a family-owned and operated grower/producer. Only ugni blanc grapes are grown on their estate which is located in the Grand Champagne region in Cognac. Line Guillon-Painturaud is one of the few female master distillers in cognac.
