Distilled by Sounds Spirits in Seattle, WA this American Single Malt Whiskey is named after a famous Seattleite from the 19th century who managed a popular hotel and could cuss in six languages. Madame Damnable (a.k.a. Mary Ann Conklin) was an early Seattle settler. She ran the city’s first hotel and was rumored to run a brothel upstairs (the “Madame” part). Having married the captain of a whaling ship, she could curse in five different languages (the “damnable” part). Legend has it that she was an ornery old cuss. Madame Damnable Single Malt Whiskey ranks 8th overall in American Whiskey.
Madame Damnable Washington Single Malt Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Nose is rising rye bread with white pepper and hazelnut.
Palate: Flavors of rye toast moss and black cardamom with a spicy rye finish that burned a little bit. Few drops of water took off the excess spicy bite.
Finish: Finish of modest peat smoke and caramel.

Sound Spirits is Seattle's first distillery since prohibition! They're conveniently located right off the South Ship Canal trail by other local distilleries and breweries, and they love hosting visitors and people from their community in their tasting room!
