A careful balance of peated and unpeated malts are aged in bourbon casks before a finishing period in IPA casks – which is rather intriguing indeed!
Mourne Dew Single Malt Irish Whiskey | 700ML Tasting Note
Nose: Fruity notes of pineapple and peach, soft peat with a whisper of menthol and gently toasted oak.
Palate: Lovely oak spice, peppery with hints of cinnamon and anise countered by sweet apricot and subtle hints of peat.
Finish: Spiced fruitcake and dark chilli chocolate, peat sits comfortably in the background without overwhelming the palate.
