Distiller and blender Dave Smith incorporated a range of whiskeys between four and 10 years old for this edition, also selecting from a variety of cask types. Hitting the shelves in October 2016, Lot 16 was bottled at 43% ABV
St George Lot 16 Single Malt Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Chocolate-coated coffee beans, nutty malt, a subtle whiff of flamed orange. Some dried apricot sweetness.
Palate: Drying notes of dark chocolate and cinnamon. Walnuts and leather, with a hint of meaty malt developing later on. A faint wisp of cigar box.
Finish: Lingering wine-like fruitiness. Toasted marshmallow and dried barley.
