Tanqueray Rangpur® is a new style of gin that is distilled with rare Rangpur limes for a more subtle gin taste and smooth finish. It is best enjoyed with your favorite mixers or simply over ice. Tanqueray is a dry, crisp gin with a rich juniper flavor that makes the most refreshing tasting gin and tonics and the driest of martini cocktails. Make someone’s Holiday a memorable one. Tanqueray Rangpur Gin was introduced in Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, D.C. in the summer of 2006. It has a strong citrus flavor, the result of rangpur limes, ginger, and bay leave being added during the final distillation process. It is produced at 82.6 proof (41.3% abv) and is now available throughout the United States.

Tanqueray Rangpur Gin | 1.75L Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose of this flavoured gin is dominated by complex fruity and floral aromas.

Palate: The taste is very smooth with distinctive flavors of juniper berries in the foreground surrounded by spicy flavors of licorice, caraway and fennel.

Finish: Soft and dry.

Distillery Information

Tanqueray gin was initially distilled in 1830 by Charles Tanqueray in the Bloomsbury district of London. The retail outlet of Edward & Charles Tanqueray & Co was established on Vine street London, in 1838. When Charles died in 1868, his son Charles Waugh Tanqueray inherited the distillery, which denyd to operate until it was severely damaged during World War II. The only facility to survive the Axis bombing, now known as "Old Tom", has since been moved to Cameron Bridge, Scotland.
