The Templeton Barrel Strength Straight Rye Whiskey is a limited-edition whiskey that was released in 2019. The whiskey is made from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and is aged for four to six years in new charred American oak barrels. The whiskey is bottled at a proof of 115.8, and has notes of sweet vanilla, cinnamon, dried fruit, and spice. On the palate, the whiskey is smooth and warming, with flavors of toasted oak, caramel, and baking spices. The finish is long and smooth, with notes of sweet rye and oak.
