The Compass Box Confidence Artist Serie 11 Pentalogy Conquering the Origins Blended Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Sweet. Fruit, rather red. Maybe cherries. Caramel and vanilla. Strawberries. Cherries from Mon Cheri, but no chocolate. Spices. Light spice. Traces of honey.

Palate: Red fruit. Cherries in sweet syrup, with alcohol. Cherries from Mon Cheri. Spices. Cinnamon, white pepper. Caramel. Light oily.

Finish: A slight warm-up. Cherries in syrup with alcohol. Cherries from Mon Cheri. Maybe a bit of dark chocolate. Long finish.

Distillery Information

Compass Box was launched in 2000 by the American John Glaser, who was previously International Marketing Director at Johnnie Walker. To promote his whisky, John travelled through London visiting pubs and bars with samples and, in idiosyncratic style, handing out business cards billing himself as “John Glaser – Whisky Zealot”.
