This year’s expression marks the 15th release of the Master’s Collection, which was created to honor the many discoveries and innovations that occurred at the 1812 distillery site where Woodford Reserve is now located. Starting with the 2020 edition, all future master’s collections will focus on modern innovation by Morris and McCall.

Nose: Dusky notes of roasted malt, toasted nuts all sweetened with hints of milk chocolate and brightened with a touch of orange zest, spearmint and warm baking spices. Oak, cherry cobbler and shortbread round out the malt and barrel influence.

Palate: Malty with toasted hazelnut and cocoa highlights atop a layer of baked fruit, crisp spice and zest bounce about the depths.

Finish: Malt and cocoa notes linger on.

The story of Woodford Reserve began in 1812 when Elijah Pepper, a visionary distiller, founded the Oscar Pepper Distillery in Woodford County, Kentucky. Situated amidst the lush bluegrass fields and benefiting from the region's pure limestone-filtered water, the distillery was destined for greatness.
