Producer Information
Charles Noëllat is négociant/wine producer in the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. The Domaine Charles Noëllat was purchased by Lalou Bize-Leroy in 1988 and became Domaine Leroy. The family kept rights to the name and today, Charles Noëllat operates as a négociant. The remaining wines of Domaine Charles Noëllat are highly sought-after. The Noëllat family have a long wine producing history in Vosne-Romanee, initiated by brothers Charles and Ernest in the early 20th Century. Both Charles' and Ernest's descendents are vignerons with Domaine Georges Noëllat and Domaine Michel Noëllat et Fils respectively. Holdings of Domaine Leroy include plots in several grand cru sites in the Côte de Nuit, as well as in Corton, plots in eight premier cru vineyards, and vineyards that fall under both village and regional appellations.
