Its bright, ruby colour will draw you in. its nose is an explosion of fruit and flowers with hints of spice. On the palate, its fruity profile is balanced by a lovely minerality. A fine cuvée with a persistent finish.

Reviews:
- Wine Advocate: The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity. Hints of lemongrass leave the front of the mouth tingling while it glides towards a very harmonious, almost understated, raisin-tinged finish that belies that power. It will age beautifully over the next decade.
Producer Information
Philippe Gayral fell in love with natural sweet wines almost fifteen years ago. In 2005, he created a company to market these rare wines, in many vintages, from 1920 to 1970. For several years, his Japanese customers have been asking him for a very high quality young natural sweet wine. Not having that on hand, he decided to create it. And this is how the adventure was born with his friend Stéphane Gallet, according to him “the last great professional of natural sweet wines who is not retired or… dead.” However, the elaboration of maury was not unknown to Stéphane Gallet since since 2008, three cuvées (two whites and one red) are produced on the Terres de Fagayra (the domain of Marjorie and Stéphane Gallet), three hectares in limit north of the appellation. This cuvée “Le Passage” is first and foremost a story of friendship between Stéphane Gallet and Philippe Gayral. Their wish: to produce a very high-quality young Maury, in the spirit of a vintage port but with the specificity of Maury and its shale terroir. This Maury is also a snub to the dislike of natural sweet wines, with the hope that this wine is the “passage” towards a renewed affection for this type of wine. The amateurs present at the Grand Tasting 2010 at the Carrousel praised it during the iDealwine tasting!
