Super clear, intense, fine, fresh and complex on the nose, this Riesling has gorgeous purity, finesse and spiciness. This is a highly elegant and concentrated, though weightless and salty TBA with very rare finesse at this level of sweetness and concentration. The finish is lemon-fresh and fine, and neither too sweet nor too powerful.

Super clear, intense, fine, fresh and complex on the nose, this Riesling has gorgeous purity, finesse and spiciness. This is a highly elegant and concentrated, though weightless and salty TBA with very rare finesse at this level of sweetness and concentration. The finish is lemon-fresh and fine, and neither too sweet nor too powerful. It's an artwork of fine Riesling. Picked at 170° Oechsle, bottled with 270 grams of residual sugar and 12 grams of acidity, it has 6% alcohol and a total production of 90 liters. It's not in the markets yet, and will probably be auctioned in Trier one day.

Producer Information

The Haart winery in Piesport on the Moselle is a family business. The Haart family is the oldest family in town. They were mentioned in documents as early as 1337 as owners of vineyards in Piesport. The indispensable prerequisite for producing great wines is the possession of the best vineyards paired with wine loyalty and tradition, as visitors will find in this 600-year-old family winery. The Haart winery is located in the beautiful Moselle town of Piesport. The family has been growing wine on the Moselle since 1337. Only the steep slopes are cultivated, a total of 8 hectares of vineyards. Following the fascination of Riesling, only this noble grape variety is cultivated. No artificial fertilizer is used during cultivation. Biodiversity should be protected in the same way as plants, for example. The winery has received support from FAIR'N GREEN since 2014. The Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, Grafenberg, Kreuzwingert and Ohligsberg sites are cultivated. The wines can mature in equal parts in wooden and stainless steel barrels. The winery has been a member of the Association of German Quality Wineries since 1992. The members are committed to an origin-oriented wine culture at the highest level.
