      Nice freshness on the nose, cherryish, perfumed touch of pencil shavings. Ripe and fruity on the palate, fresh, some floral and spice notes and then quite firm tannin. Touch of dark chocolate on the finish.

      Producer Information

      In 1948 Rene Debacque purchased the chateau and began a patient land consolidation, the property reached 10.5 ha by the 1980s, its now managed by Vincent and Thomas Debaque father & Son. Located in the commune of Libourne, 7km east of Saint Émilion and near the Dordogne river the microclimate is conducive to vine growing. The terroir is similar to that of the Pomerol and Saint-Emilion regions and composes of gravelly, sandy, brown soils. The average age of the vines is 40 years old with the oldest planted back in the 1940's, the land is planted with 85% Merlot & 15% Cabernet Franc.
