"The Angostura story began in 1824 with Dr. Johann Siegert, a German surgeon in Venezuela, who created aromatic bitters as medicine, naming it for the town of Angostura. After his death, his sons moved production to Trinidad in 1875, establishing "The House of Angostura" in Port of Spain."
